SECOND BYRD ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION (BAE II) 1933-35

John Dyer was a radioman on this expedition, also known as the Byrd Antarctic Expedition II. John captured the 8mm silent film presented below on the expedition and added his own narration in 1986. It is a good representation of what went on in the summer and winter months, including the famous rescue of Admiral Byrd from his remote one-man weather station, Advance Base, during the winter.
